Raul Labrador the “convenient” Hispanic no different than Romney who has no compassion for Mexican-American families who support legal immigration reform that will fix the broken immigration system.

The “Hispanic” Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho) is a Puerto Rico-born Mormon convert and a lawyer who said he will drop out of the so-called House Gang of Eight — a group that supports legal immigration reform to fix the broken immigration system.

What is it with Republican Mormons who do not practice what the Mormon religion teaches?

We saw the 2012 Republican candidate Mitt Romney (also a Mormon) make a key

alliance with Kris Kobach who is the legal architect behind many of the anti-immigrant laws like Arizona’s SB 1070 bill.  According to the SPLC, nativist lawyer Kris Kobach has drawn a great deal of criticism for his association with the Federation for American Immigration Reform  (FAIR).

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center:

In the most general terms, SPLC lists FAIR as the organization that has probably done more to inject fear and bigotry into the national immigration debate than any other. FAIR’s demonizing propaganda, aimed primarily at Latinos and often Catholics; its ties to other hate groups and hiring of their members; and its push for laws promoting racial discord around the country have been instrumental in creating the anti-immigrant backlash America is currently suffering through.

The tail has been wagging the dog, but it will be time for the dog to wag the tail. Labrador and Cruz has been backstabbing Mexican-American families.

It’s no wonder we see more and more Mexican-Americans separating themselves from the Republican “Latinos” who do not support a legal immigration reform fix to the clearly broken immigration system.   Republican Cuban-American Sen Ted Cruz does not support legal immigration reform, and now we see another “Hispanic Republican” and Puerto Rico-born Labrador jumping the legal immigration reform fix now.  [Why am I not surprised?]

Need I remind you that Mexican-Americans account for almost 70% of the entire “Latin” population pie?

It’s time for the dog to wag the tail — not the other way around and that reality is coming soon.

Mexican-Americans are also the fastest growing population in the country.

Shame on Rep. Labrador.  Of all people, he should know how much the Idaho agricultural community depends on Mexican immigrant work ethic, and it’s high time the farmers of Idaho hold him accountable before they lose their farms for lack of labor.

We are gonna keep our eye on Mr. Labrador and the Mormon community because I know many Mormons live in Idaho.

Will the Mormon leadership support Labrador who has jumped the legal immigration reform ship?

Talk is cheap, and we are looking to action these days.  By the end of summer, we will all know who was there for us when we were down and out.  I hope to see Mormon leadership take Labrador to the woodshed because Raul seems to be a “Hispanic” when it’s convenient.

Labrador does not support what most Mexican-American families support and we have been struggling and supporting legal immigration for over a decade now.  This is a crucial time for us.
