We have an update regarding Steven Seagul mulling over the Arizona Governor’s race. Carlos Galindo discussed rumors of Steven Seagal mulling over the Arizona Governor race on his morning show yesterday. He believed it was a showboating move to demonize the border situation. I followed up and wrote a story: Republican Sheriff Arpaio Should Not Support Steven Seagal for Arizona Governor Since Ex-Wife Kelly LeBrock Recalls of Spousal Abuse
Soon after the story broke, I received a call by Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s office where Jim Estrada (Hispanic Outreach Director) told me Seagal will not run for Arizona Governor. Arpaio read our story in the Tucson Citizen, and he wants to be clear that he has never abused his wife. Though Kelly LeBrock has spousal abuse allegations against Steven Seagal andplans to write a book, Arpaio does not endorse that behavior if allegations are true. So far we do not have any official police records of domestic violence between Seagal and Kelly LeBrock.
We did not think it would be a good idea for Arpaio to support someone who is being accused of past domestic violence considering Arpaio further exposed his (D) candidate opponent via Paul Penzone in 2012 for his domestic violence police record. See official police record here.
Arpaio’s office took the opportunity to relay that channel 12 News Arizona has been using Paul Penzone as an expert for their news coverage?

You realize the usual activist mafia promoted him to 12! They scratch each others back. That way they can keep their mugs in front of the camera with nothing constructive to say but the same old tired rhetoric. What a waste of space!

I’d love to know what criteria Channel 12 uses to qualify someone as an expert. Either they haven’t vetted their expert properly or their standards are low. Penzone never rose above the rank of sergeant,, had no command experience and spent a large part of his police career as the voice of silent witness. I expect better from Channel 12 if they want us to take them seriously.
Carlos Galindo was the first to identify Seagal’s discussion of the border situation while mulling over the Arizona Governor’s race as a showboating tactic. Turns out he was right!
